Getting backup power installed isn't just about dropping a generator in the yard. The electrical side of it - specifically the automatic transfer switch - is where the real work happens. That's what this job was all about.

We installed a dedicated ATS for a 22KW standby generator, integrating it directly with the existing electrical system. The ATS is the brain of the whole operation. When grid power drops, it detects the outage and signals the generator to kick on. Then it safely transfers the load over - no manual switching, no guesswork, no backfeed risk. When utility power comes back, it transfers everything back and shuts the generator down. All of it happens automatically.

The wiring here required clean, organized runs between the main panel and the transfer switch enclosure. Every conductor landed correctly, every connection made with purpose. This isn't work you want done sloppy - the ATS has to communicate with the generator reliably every single time. There's no margin for error when you're talking about protecting a home or business from outages.

A 22KW unit is a serious piece of equipment. It can carry a significant load - keeping essentials running and then some. But none of that matters if the transfer switch isn't installed correctly. We make sure the whole system works together the way it's supposed to, from the panel to the ATS to the generator itself.

This is the kind of work that sits quietly in the background until you actually need it. And when you do need it, you want to know it was done right the first time.
