Most custom closets get built out beautifully - shelving, cabinetry, the works - and then the lighting gets treated like an afterthought. A single overhead bulb gets slapped in and called a day. That's a problem, because bad lighting in a closet means you're constantly pulling things into better light just to see what you're looking at.
That's exactly the kind of situation we set out to fix here. This was a full custom closet lighting package, designed to cover every zone of the space. We're talking recessed cans overhead for general ambient light, plus a stunning crystal ring pendant centered over the island. Each fixture has a job to do, and together they cover the whole room without dead spots or harsh contrast.
The pendant alone is worth talking about. A ring-style crystal chandelier in a closet might sound like overkill, but when you're working with a space this well-built - marble countertop island, floor-to-ceiling shelving on every wall - the fixture needs to match that level of finish. It does. It also drops enough light onto the island surface to make it genuinely functional, not just decorative.
What we love about this kind of work is that it's not just about aesthetics. Proper fixture placement makes the space easier to use every single day. You can actually see colors accurately, find what you need faster, and feel like the room was finished with intention. That's what a good lighting plan delivers - and it's what our fixture installation work is built around.
